If you’re prepared to give the 40-inch-plus range a miss and go for a smaller size panel, Sony’s new 32-inch Bravia KDL-32JE1 is one to watch. It’s not only friendly to small budgets - it’s friendly to the environment, too.
The KDL-32J1 series already packed industry-leading efficiency, with a power consumption of 134W, but the new JE1 consumes a mere 89W. That’s 86kWh/year, and half what an Xbox 360 chews through. Not bad considering how many pixels it has to illuminate.
Sony Bravia KDL-32JE1 features:
- 32″ panel at WXGA (1366×768) resolution
- Inputs: 2x HDMI, 2x component, 3x composite, 1x VGA
- 2500:1 contrast
- 178 degree viewing angle
The KDL-32JE1 hits Japan on July 30 with a price of around ¥150,000 ($1,387/€900).
